Today, on Thanksgiving Day, I’d like to share with you a song that makes my heart soar like a hawk: Shaw and Solis’ Listen to the Wind from 1970.
I love this lyric:
“Take my troubles away from me
and give me the joy of life.
Listen to the warm and gentle wind,
as it races across the meadow.
It carries with it the beauty
of a thousand million years.
Many joys of many happy tears.”
The wind carries my Happy Thanksgiving wishes across the meadow to you and yours. I am thankful for all of you!
We have come a long way together. So perhaps it is time to step back, take a short break to pause, and just listen to the wind.
So catch up on past editions you may have missed or not quite finished and prepare for our journey to begin again next week, as we land in Schiphol airport Amsterdam.
If you like what you’ve been reading and hearing so far on our journey, please share my newsletter with others - just hit the “Share” button at the bottom of the page.
Feel free to contact me at any time to talk shop. I welcome and encourage that….
Until then, keep on walking….
I'm unable to get into "Listen to the Wind." interesting...
I do really like that track. BTW, I tried to do some research on this artist, and there is almost nothing on the Internet. Lost to time, even in our technological and information age.
